As the main sponsor of the Weekley & Warkton Cricket Club’s junior section, staff from Lamb & Holmes Solicitors were delighted to attend the annual presentation event at the clubs main ground at Boughton Park in Weekley, Northamptonshire at the end of the 2018 season.
The coaches, teams and their parents enjoyed an evening of fun cricket along with a presentation rewarding all of the young players, following the end of another successful season.
Weekley & Warkton Cricket Club have seen a remarkable increase in junior players over the past year with 60 plus aspiring young Cricketers in total, who are now part of the junior section. Playing at a junior level helps to increase fitness, strength and good hand-eye coordination. Building excellent levels of endurance and stamina along with outstanding team building skills. The age range for the youth section teams run from age 5 to 15.
Andrew Bussey, who is Club Chairman and a Junior Coach at the Weekley & Warkton Cricket Club says “Our junior section is the main focus of our development strategy and we plan major investment in equipment and facilities for it over the closed season and into 2019. We have youngsters representing the District and County and are starting to see the most promising in adult cricket and making a genuine contribution. Lamb & Holmes’ support is hugely appreciated and in the next few years we’ll start to see those juniors in our first XI on Saturday afternoons”.
