At Lamb & Holmes Solicitors, we were honoured to take part in National Conveyancing Week 2025, and this year, we marked the occasion by supporting a cause close to our hearts; The Lewis Foundation. Through a charity raffle and generous donations from clients, staff, and the community, we are proud to share that we raised £272.85 in support of this remarkable charity.
About The Lewis Foundation
The Lewis Foundation was founded in April 2016 by Lorraine and Lee Lewis, who were deeply moved by their personal experience when Lee’s mum was hospitalised with cancer. Witnessing the fear, loneliness, and emotional toll of cancer treatment, they were inspired to make a difference.
What started as a small gesture has grown into a powerful movement. Today, The Lewis Foundation boasts nearly 50 volunteers and hundreds of regular supporters. From delivering just 80 care packs a month to one hospital, they now deliver over 2,500 gift packs each month to fourteen hospitals across the Midlands.
Each gift pack is carefully selected by the patient from a list of 29 different packs. These may include toiletries, overnight essentials, craft sets, hydration supplies, puzzles, or even miniature radios complete with batteries and headphones. The aim is simple and that is to bring comfort, dignity, and a sense of companionship to individuals facing one of life’s toughest battles. For many patients, these gifts and the volunteers who deliver them are their only regular visitors.
Making a Real Difference
Our team at Lamb & Holmes chose The Lewis Foundation as our charity this year because of the incredible support they provide. One of our own team members’ daughters received a care package during her cancer treatment, and the joy and comfort it brought her was immeasurable.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us raise £272.85, which will directly fund more of these meaningful care packages. With some packs costing as little as £3.60, every pound raised will make a real difference to cancer patients across our region.
