Back in November, the team at Lamb & Holmes Solicitors came together to raise funds for a cause very close to our hearts by hosting an afternoon tea in our offices. Thanks to the generosity of colleagues and supporters, we were proud to raise £580.00 for the Alfie Bear’s Journey Fund, which supports the vital work of The Brain Tumour Charity.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to improving outcomes for everyone affected by brain tumours. Alfie Bear’s Journey Fund operates under its umbrella, helping to fund research, raise awareness, and support families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.
This charity is especially meaningful to one of our team members. Alfie was her partner’s cousin, who sadly passed away in 2014 at just six years old after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Since then, Alfie’s family have worked tirelessly to honour his memory through fundraising and support for the charity, helping to make a difference for other families affected by this devastating illness.
After many years of dedication, Alfie’s family feel that next year is likely to be their final year of fundraising for the charity. With this in mind, we are keen to continue supporting the Alfie Bear’s Journey Fund wherever possible and to contribute a little more towards the incredible impact it has made over the years.
Events like our afternoon tea not only raise much-needed funds, but also give us the chance to come together as a team and support causes that matter deeply to the people we work with. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated, or helped make the event such a success.
